Essay Sample - Why An MBA From Stanford University Is a Good Idea

Essay Sample - Why An MBA From Stanford University Is a Good IdeaWhy An MBA from Stanford University? I asked myself this question once and I thought it would be a bit too presumptuous to ask such a thing, but now it is time for me to put up the big question mark and give you the answer. The reason that a Stanford MBA is of value to a graduate degree holder (except maybe to those who need to get their master's and PhD) is that the MBA allows you to pick and choose your subject matter with respect to the coursework you can take as part of your program. Now of course there are other schools out there with MBA programs, but my point is that they do not always offer the same kind of flexibility as does the university which is also known as the University of California, Berkeley. Having said that, let us look at the qualifications which they require of graduates from the university to enter the MBA program.First of all, they are going to ask you for your Bachelor's degree. That is no small thing, especially if you are coming out of a highly regarded university such as Berkeley and were lucky enough to enter an MBA program from a top tier institution. The next thing that they will ask for is your Bachelor's degree and then after that they will ask you to submit a good number of essays. This is not something that most people will be happy about; as I understand, the essays are subject matter rich and can be very difficult to write. They also ask for an excellent portfolio of your writing work. As far as I can tell, some of these portfolio write-ups require the applicant to write about writing from both sides. Then they ask for an essay that is actually short article, which in essence will be one that is only about the course of your chosen career. Finally, they will then have you read one more dissertation before your admittance into the MBA program. So my guess is that you may say that it is unlikely that you will ever enter a Stanford MBA program. It may be very improbab le, but it is my guess that it is very much not impossible.
